These learning environments are designed to develop concrete skills in three-dimensional modelling, rapid prototyping and digital production, giving students an immersive experience in the world of advanced manufacturing.

With high-performance workstations, large-format 3D printers, high-precision scanners and professional modelling and simulation software, our labs turn ideas into real objects, fostering creative, technical and multidisciplinary learning. They are solutions perfectly aligned with the goals of the National Digital School Plan and the POC call “Innovative and advanced labs”.

Skills developed

  • 3D CAD modelling with professional software
  • Using 3D printers (multicolour FDM, large format) and 3D scanners
  • Knowledge and application of materials: PLA, ABS, PET, Nylon-Carbon
  • Structural analysis and simulation of mechanical and thermal performance
  • Developing functional prototypes and validating digital objects

Hands-on exercises

  • Designing a custom 3D object and producing it physically via printing
  • 3D scanning of real objects and digital reverse engineering
  • Comparative material testing for flexibility, strength, surface finish
  • Structural simulations (loads, vibrations, flows) and printing of verified models
  • Multidisciplinary project with printed components integrated into mechanical, electronic or environmental systems
  • Producing artefacts to customise aids, tools and STEM devices

Complete technical support

Kyron supports schools with a professional technical service: lab installation, workstation configuration, print-profile setup, testing, supply of consumables and ongoing assistance. Access to dedicated portals allows downloading of manuals, profiles, video courses and updates.

Tailored teacher training

We offer training paths for teachers that include:

  • CAD modelling and 3D design
  • educational use of 3D printing for STEM, art, technical drawing and inclusion
  • simulations and mechanical tests with advanced software
  • designing teaching units with applied 3D printing
  • printer maintenance and calibration
