Prepare your students for the challenges of Industry 4.0 and 5.0 with Kyron’s educational labs.
We offer complete, cutting-edge solutions for practical, immersive and multidisciplinary learning, built with technologies from leading partners such as KUKA, COMAU, Siemens and De Lorenzo. With our labs, the school becomes a real miniature production environment, where the key skills of automation and robotics take shape across benches and simulated lines.
Our environments integrate Siemens PLCs, smart sensors, actuators, electro-pneumatic systems, KUKA collaborative robots and COMAU educational robots (such as the e.DO), in a real smart-factory scenario. Professional software such as FluidSIM, FluidLab and block- and code-based programming environments (LAD, FBD, ST, Python) enable progressive, professional learning.
Designed in line with the National Digital School Plan and the POC call “Innovative and advanced labs”, these labs are a strategic platform for technical, vocational and ITS institutes.
Skills developed
- Programming and managing industrial PLCs (Siemens, S7-1200/1500)
- Analysis, configuration and diagnostics of automated networks and systems
- Using human-machine interfaces (HMI) and digital/analog sensors
- Pneumatic and electro-pneumatic automation (valves, cylinders, control modules)
- Programming and controlling collaborative and anthropomorphic robots (COMAU e.DO, KUKA)
- Developing flexible automation processes in simulated and real environments
Hands-on exercises
- Designing and simulating automatic cycles in FluidSIM and FluidLab
- Configuring pneumatic systems and actuation tests
- Logic programming with Siemens PLCs and interaction with sensors and actuators
- Building automatic sequences in HMI environments
- Programming COMAU e.DO robots in simulated collaborative scenarios
- Simulating and controlling production lines integrated with KUKA robots
- Integrating mixed systems (mechatronics, automation, robotics) for industrial processes
Complete technical support
Kyron guarantees a complete technical service for the design, installation, configuration and testing of the labs. We provide all the required documentation, as well as a post-sales service of continuous assistance and updates of the industrial software. The lab is delivered turn-key for an immediate and safe start-up.
Tailored teacher training
We offer structured training paths for teachers, which include:
- PLC and HMI programming
- control and diagnostics of automatic systems
- collaborative robotics and industrial coding
- simulation environments and troubleshooting
Paths can also include official certifications, such as the COMAU Robotics Licence, to enhance teachers’ professionalism and the institute’s training offer.
Effective curricular integration
The labs are designed to integrate into Mechanics, Mechatronics, Automation, IT, Logistics and Maintenance tracks, supporting learning units, PCTO, business simulations and transdisciplinary projects. The installed tools match the skills expected in the technical and vocational profiles required by companies in manufacturing, logistics, energy and agri-industry.
Accessibility and inclusion at the centre
Every lab is designed to be accessible, inclusive and safe. Workstations can be configured for motor and sensory needs, with visual programming software, adjustable stations and user-friendly interfaces. We promote inclusive teaching based on the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), so that every student can develop their potential in technology and industry contexts.
With Kyron’s Automation and Robotics labs, the school enters the factory of the future, a place where students learn to design, build, optimise and cooperate effectively with machines.
