Observe. Experiment. Understand the world.
The science lab is the beating heart of science teaching: a space where theory and practice meet to stimulate curiosity, refine the experimental method and develop fundamental skills for academic and professional paths. Our science labs — modular, accessible and integrated — offer students a dynamic, well-equipped environment to explore biology, chemistry, physics and environmental science, also thanks to immersive devices and mobile tools such as the Wacebo Science Bus.
Designed for technical, vocational and science high schools, the labs are also ideal for work-based learning projects, interdisciplinary activities with STEM subjects and teaching-innovation initiatives.
Learning objectives
- Develop operational skills in biology, chemistry and applied sciences.
- Foster scientific learning through real or simulated lab experiences.
- Promote critical thinking and the ability to analyse, interpret and communicate data.
- Support the development of soft skills such as collaboration, precision and problem solving.
Examples of skills developed
- Chemical and biological analysis techniques, from spectrophotometry to titrations.
- Ability to prepare and observe microscopic samples.
- Quality control and food safety (in the case of agri-food tracks).
- Design and execution of experiments on circuits, forces, waves and transformations of matter.
- Use of immersive digital and augmented-reality technologies for scientific investigation (e.g. ScienceLab).
Examples of practical exercises
- DNA isolation and analysis, observation of tissues under the microscope, bacterial growth and enzymatic activities.
- Measurement of pH and conductivity, UV/Vis spectrophotometry, chemical separations and synthesis.
- Analysis of food freshness, automatic titrations, Soxhlet extractions.
- Experiments on electrical circuits, acoustics, optics, mechanics and alternative energies thanks to the Wacebo Science Bus.
- Simulated digital activities with ScienceLab and StemLab, accessible also remotely and designed to remove cognitive and logistical barriers.
Technical equipment (examples)
- Biological microscopes, stereomicroscopes, spectrophotometers, pH meters, centrifuges, autoclaves, thermostatic shakers
- Wacebo ScienceBus: mobile kits for complete scientific experiments, with guided manuals and high transferability
- Modular, safe workstations for chemical and biological experiments
- Cloud-based software for analysis and virtual labs (ScienceLab)
- Precision equipment for quality control and food safety
- Interactive monitors, mobile carts (TeachBus) and flexible furniture for innovative environments
Curricular integration
The labs are designed to be integrated into the school paths of:
- Technical schools (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Agri-food, Health and Environment tracks)
- Vocational schools (Services for agriculture, Food and beverage, Cultural services)
- Science high schools and applied-sciences options
- Work-based learning and STEM projects, and paths oriented to university access or higher technical education (ITS)
Accessibility and inclusion
The environments are designed to ensure full accessibility, thanks to:
- Ergonomic workstations for motor disabilities
- Adaptive multimedia content usable with assistive technologies
- Activities designed according to the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Multilingual support in the virtual labs (ScienceLab)
Technical support and teacher training
- Complete installation and after-sales support
- Teacher training on experimental methodologies and the use of technologies
- Integration into the school education plan and work-based learning modules with learning-unit templates and customized teaching kits
- Access to teaching portals with video lessons, practical materials and online courses
Why choose this lab
- Authentic and interdisciplinary scientific experiences
- Mobile and digital solutions that break down spatial and cognitive barriers
- “Learning-by-doing” approach and strong impact on skills development
- Vertical integration with curricular projects and work-based learning
- High applicability in the university world and in the research and production sector
